Dr. Shibu Thomas
Senior Pastor
Dr. Shibu Thomas was born and raised in a Marthomite family in a small town called Sarni of Betul District, MP. In the year 1987, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and received water baptism. While doing his High School, he had the call for Full-time Ministry from the Lord and dedicated his life to the Lord's Ministry. He started preaching, translation and evangelism at the age of 16. He joined Saugar University for his Graduation in B.Sc (Science) along with the ministry of the Lord in M.P. All those years he was actively involved in youth and church ministry, reaching the unreached in different villages and towns of MP.
While doing his Masters in Science, he got admission for B.D in Faith Theological Seminary (Serampore University), which he joined thereafter.
In the year 1997, he got married to Bini. After graduating from the Seminary, went to pioneer a remote village called Khategaon in Dewas District, MP (North India). Along with evangelism he also started an English Medium School to educate the children of that village. Sofia Academy grew in the course of time with more than 600 students. Because of the determination and dedication towards the Kingdom purpose he and his family went through many hardships for long Seven years in that village. Meanwhile, he started some more mission stations in the nearby villages called Narsullaganj, Kannod, Handia, Narmada Nagar etc. which was handled over to Church of God Central West Region and Pastors were appointed from the Region to do ministry in these places.
After seven years of ministry in Madhaya Pradesh, in 2005, he was appointed as the Pastor of Church of God In India, Vikhroli, Mumbai. Also, he was appointed as the President for Mahanaim Bible College, Mumbai, the only Bible college of Church of God In India, Central West Region. In 2010, he was appointed as the Pastor for Calvary Assembly-Church of God, Snellville, Georgia, USA. He is continuing as the Pastor of the same church. He is blessed with a daughter Sofia Thomas and a son Stalin Thomas.
Dr. Shibu Thomas pursued his Doctoral Studies at Church of God Theological Seminary, Tennessee, USA, and later on accomplished his Ph.D. from International Institute of Arts and Theology, in Christian Ministry and Counseling.
Pr. Dani David
Associate & Admin Pastor
Pr Dani David was born in a Christian family and was instructed in the Word of God right from his childhood. he could realize the unfailing love of Christ numerous times in his life right from a young age. As he came to know more of Christ he began to realize the truth of the Gospel and the need for salvation. “It was necessary for me to accept Jesus Christ into my life in order to be saved and gain eternal life.” Pr. Dani admitted the need for a Savior and believed that Jesus died for him on the cross and rose alive from the dead. Also, he invited Christ to come in and take control of his life.
Thus in 2001 he confessed, repented and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, and in 2002 he was filled with the Holy Spirit. It helped him to get closer to God in prayers and also began seeing visions. On December 19th, 2004 he received water baptism. It brought a radical change in his life. he could feel God’s presence and guidance in his life.
The knowledge about Christ fascinated and motivated him to share the gospel with his non-Christian friends. God taught that, when earthly relationships remain limited there is an eternal relationship that is assured in Christ. It brought great comfort and joy being in God’s presence.
Pr Dani’s interest grew in sharing the gospel and to do His ministry. Along with his studies, he had the opportunity to serve in various youth ministries at his local church. he realized the call to serve the Lord and to do His ministry. To gain a soul for Christ is more worthy than gaining the whole world.
Many times he tried to deviate his mind from entering into ministry. Yet he remained determined and the word of God strengthened him. He had the desire to hear the voice of God to strengthen him of his calling. It was one night when he heard the still soft voice of God and it assured God’s calling on his life for His ministry. With prays and preparation he stepped into the ministry of Christ Jesus, to be like a good soldier who tries to please his commanding officer.
Pr. Dani Completed his BA in English Language and Literature from Kerala University and then went to SABC Bangalore to pursue his M.Div. After which, he moved to the US and completed Master in Sacred Theology (STM) program from Dallas Theological Seminary. He then was appointed at a local IPC church (Dallas Christian Assembly) in Dallas as the youth pastor. After serving for a year and a half he moved to Atlanta as the Youth pastor for Calvary Assembly Church of God. In 2018 Pr Dani became an ordained minister of the Church of God. After serving for 5 years as the youth pastor, Pr. Dani currently serves as the Associate and Admin pastor at Calvary.
In 2019, Pr. Dani got married to Mary Sara Johnson and today they together serve the lord.
